Jane W. Bio
“Jane W.” is the nom de plume of Jane Hunter. It is derived from her screen name, Jane Withnolastname. She decided to shorten it in the hopes she would be taken more seriously. “Jane W.” is no relation to “KTW“.
Jane is a 20-something Canadian mma fan. She excelled in high school English and was subsequently awarded a scholarship for her efforts. As such, she is often (though not always) called upon to edit others’ articles for MMAviewers.com, focussing mainly on grammar and sentence structure.
Her favourite team sports include Canadian football, Australian football (she has no patience for American football), hockey, rugby and, yes, curling!
She is a great fan of music, though not of any artist in particular – she likes it all and often “knows a song about that“.
She is also a bit of a television addict. She fully admits she watches too much TV and has tried to cut down, but good shows just keep popping up. Her love of mma came about after stumbling across a broadcast while flipping the channels. Fascinated, she has since become well-versed in the sport, despite not ever having been a participant. Though not an “insider”, Jane loves to share her opinions on the sport – as well as just about anything you ask her about! She has a unique sense of humour which often comes through in her writing. If it sounds like she’s being sarcastic, she probably is.
Shy by nature, Jane finds confidence behind her keyboard and, surprisingly, in front of her friend’s camera. His hobby is photography and his favourite subject is Jane, who comes out of her shell at his encouragement. You may have seen some of his work on her website.
Known all her life as a “tomboy” – a term she despises – Jane played field hockey in high school and became a personal trainer after graduation, but these days she is content to sit on her fat ass and do nothing. Being married to a workaholic allows her to pursue her laziness to its fullest extent.
