Don King Proves Once Again How Much He Loves 'America'

Din Thomas is either crazy or very confident in his abilities as a combat fighter. I’d say he’s somewhere in between there. And I give him much credit for wanting to step between the ropes and fight a professional boxer.  I’d like to see more of this from mma fighters, particularly the ones that call out other fighters.  I see boxers taking major risks to prove their fighting skills and pursue mma fights.

I’m a huge boxing fan, since birth.  But, these days, mma is where it’s at.  Every sports has its ups and downs.  The UFC disappeared for many years, after once enjoying much success. MLB has its dog days.  And soccer still struggles in America for household recognition, except for a few good years of World Cup play here and there.

The Din Thomas Vs. Ricardo Mayorga mixed martial arts fight that was canceled last month was a huge blow for boxing and mma fans.  It was supposed to mark the first time that two reasonably-aged fighters from the two top combat sports were to face off in a mixed martial arts fight, as presented by Shine Fights.

Stemming from the angry and disappointed fan comments from many fans of Mayorga and especially those in his native Nicaragua and parts nearby, Don King won’t be making any appearances in most parts of South America any time soon.

In the video below, Din Thomas expresses his thoughts on the canceled fight.  Did he still receive a paycheck? He answers this and more….
