Miguel Torres Post Video Of His Surgery

After suffering a vicious ground and pound elbow strike in his last fight, Chicagoland native Miguel Torres had to have surgery to repair the damage. In a gracious gesture that’s also rather classy, Torres posted a video of the stitches he endured while his forehand was being repaired by a renowned doctor.

Despite being the huge favorite to beat Joseph Benavidez, Torres was defeated via submission (Guillotine Choke). It was Torres second straight defeat in the WEC. Torres was once considered the present and future king of the WEC at bantamweight (135lbs), and many considered him one of the poster boys for the WEC.

Torres is a very tough and brave fighter. And it’s good to see he can still have a sense of humor after his last two fights. He joked around in the video when asked by the doctor just how he received the huge cut. Torres reply was that “I got elbowed by a midget.”
